The Internal Revenue Service is mailing notices referred to as a CP12 Notice. This means that the IRS may have questions about your return that was filed; changes are being made to your tax return information; or that an error was made on your federal return.  According to the IRS website, if you receive a notice, be sure to review it and compare the changes the IRS is proposing to the information that was on your tax return.  For further information please review the IRS website, CP12.

If you don't agree with the changes, contact the IRS within 60 days from the date of your notice.
