Adjusting Administrative Boundaries for Cases Assigned Within the Judicial Districts of Maricopa County

As provided in AO2024-100, as of October 14, 2024, all newly-filed cases will be assigned one of four judicial districts (Downtown, Northeast, Northwest, and Southeast) based on the ZIP code of the Petitioner (or their counsel, if represented). Pinal County ZIP codes will no longer be assigned to the Southeast Judicial District. Pursuant to Rule 21(a), ARFLP, if the action has been commenced in an improper county in violation of A.R.S. § 12-401, A.R.S. § 25-502, or A.R.S. § 25-802, the Court may on its own motion transfer the case to a county where venue is proper. The Court encourages all litigants to commence their actions in a proper county to avoid the delay and expense of having the case transferred to another county
